Upside Down World
Inside out, outside in. From the same place we all begin.
Upside down, downside up. I heard it from a wire in a paper cup.

People on the inside, lookin' out. I know what that's all about.
People on the outside, lookin' in. Nobody knows where they've been.
They think they know where they wanna go. As above, so below.
In the prison camp, they put on a show. As above, so below.

I know a girl who'd take a chance, but she's too afraid.
The girl who can't dance says the band can't play.
After her house is robbed, she climbs out of the cellar.
What's left by the thief, she spends on the fortune teller.

The face we show to power changes every hour.
Watch the bully, see him cower.
Our opinions change as often as the way the wind blows.
If God lived on earth, we'd break his windows.

Think it in the heart, feel it in the head.
Pity for the living, envy for the dead.
Your real life ain't the one you lead. As a man is, so he sees.
You see lumber, he sees trees. As a man is, so he sees.
