FALLING INTO GOD

I have finally made the choice.
I took the Unknown Road.
Now I truly can rejoice.
I've dropped the heavy load of the respectable facade.

Now I'm falling into God.
I have surrendered.
Now I remember what I forgot
While I climbed the rocky road unshod.
Now I'm falling into God.

We climbed above the avalanche
Through the penitent rain
Until the road hit a branch.
Many of us complained that both led to the Land of Nod.

Now I'm falling into God.
I surrendered
When I remembered what I had lost
When I walked where all the rest had trod.
Now I'm falling into God.

Walking down the promenade,
Surrounded by goldenrod,
The sky above, the earth below,
Now I can love the Great Unknown.

Now I'm falling into God.
I fell from the life
Of trouble and strife and all the rot
That killed my sense of wonder and awe.
Now I'm falling into God.
